CHINA FREE 144HR TRANSIT VISA FOR BEIJING (2018 EDITION) | THAILAND TO MEXICO TRAVEL VLOG – Beijing Video

published: 2018-04-16 05:15:17

Are you planning on visiting China using the 144 hour Transit Visa? It’s not as simple as it seems! Last year, I did a video after a (successful) trip to China using the transit Visa, however things have changed! Namely, you can now enter Beijing for 144 hours (previously 72 hours until late 2017).

In this video I travelled from Phuket, Thailand, to Mexico City via Beijing, China and Tijuana, Mexico. However my bags were checked in all the way to Mexico meaning I was not permitted to enter China for an 11 hour layover! We live and learn!

All in all, a 37 hour Nightmare Travel Day!

  1. What a nightmare for you aye. I felt the same going from Japan to Hong Kong, it was a bit of a shock really. Everyone is so polite in Japan but then I literally got shoved over in HongKong (husband had to intervene), had a dude on the plane next to me snorting gobs like a piglet and yes spitting……lots of spitting, even though there’s signs everywhere saying don’t do it. I think had I not come from Japan I’d have probably loved it….anyway. Doubt I’ll be going to China anytime soon.

  4. The onward travel, I heard people say just get a cheap throwaway flight or if you cant afford that get a refundable ticket and get a refund.

  5. Your video was so funny! I'm currently watching this is in my bed lol. I am bit of a plane geek and so jealous you were on an inaugural flight! Looks like you took the 787 across the Pacific. Agree with you on China – I'm not a fan either but Hong Kong is different. Look forward to your tracked through Mexico!
