Departure
Going deeper and deeper on my journey in the Hutong of Gulou in Beijing… Bikes and motorcycles replaced cars and trucks, narrow alleys replaced small roads… and tourist are less and less crossing my way. I shot this picture at the entrance of a small hostel in the Hutong. The lady just came out, took her bicycle and got ready for a new adventure there. There is an other bike… Is it the one of her friend? What didn’t she wait for her? This is China.
