Beijing to promote mixed ownership for state-owned enterprises

published: 2017-03-09 12:26:52 China’s top regulator of state-owned assets says the country will further promote mixed-ownership reform for state-owned enterprises. Xiao Yaqing is the chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. He says diversifying shareholding structures is key to the ongoing reform of state-owned enterprises. Xiao adds that the commission will carry out the reform based on problems facing the enterprises, in order to promote the quality and efficiency of these companies. He said the government’s supply-side reforms have resulted in significant gains, and that these will continue in the coming years.
