China increased the maximum speed of bullet trains on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway to 350 kilometers per hour, six years after it was reduced to 300 kmh on Sept 19, 2017. The steadiness of the train was tested using a pen, a water bottle, and a phone placed by the window.
