China, Panama sign joint communique in Beijing

China and Panama have formally established diplomatic relations. In Beijing on Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his counterpart from Panama, Isabel de Saint Malo, signed a joint communique, and Panama officially broke all of its ties with Taiwan. Wang called the development a “historical moment”.
