Lost in the hutong

Here we are, my first steps in the hutong of Goulu in Beijing. Not already deep inside but the feeling is there. Back to the old time, where all the little roads surrounding the heart of the hutong look similars. In the middle of the crowded modern city center of Beijing, it is just wonderful to have kept intact such kind of places… With sometimes a lot of renovation works but the ancient concept remain intact. I don’t know if this man is a resident of the place or just a simple visitor like me… who cares? This is China.
