Beijing condemns Taiwan for persecuting New Party members

China’s Taiwan Affairs Office has condemned Taiwan authorities for “suppressing” people who advocate reunification after several core members of the New Party were questioned by the island’s forensic department. A delegation from the New Party, which supports Chinese reunification, ended a visit to the Chinese mainland three days earlier.
