Beijing prepares for “two sessions”

published: 2017-03-02 12:09:14 China is preparing for its most important annual political events: The “Two Sessions” formally known as the annual plenary session of the National People’s Congress which opens on Sunday. The annual session of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference opens on Friday. Beijing will host thousands of NPC deputies and CPPCC National Committee members from across the country. The lawmakers will hear and review a number of reports. These include the annual government work report which will be delivered by Premier Li Keqiang at the NPC opening. They will discuss political, economic and social matters and make proposals.
