published: 2017-02-12 07:45:53 Wandering around the streets of Beijing one gets a very different view to the one we’ve been led to believe in the west. Hopefully I can explain at least in part why communism is not a failure. 50 years ago China had a billion starving poor people, now it has a burgeoning middle class and makes all the products we in the west can no longer make. And the people get paid better with 100% wages retiring from 45 on…. amazing!
