First BRICS foreign ministers meeting opens in Beijing

The first meeting of the BRICS Ministers of Foreign Affairs has opened in Beijing. Foreign ministers from Russia, South Africa, Brazil and India attended the meeting. Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi made a speech, saying BRICS’ cooperation has extended to political and humanities fields from economic matters over the past decade. Wang also highlighted BRICS’ cooperation in international organizations, which contributes to safeguarding unity and common interests of developing nations.
