First time traveling to Beijing, I had no expectation as to how much it would cost regarding food, transportation, and housing. My friend and I arrived to attend a high school friend’s wedding as bridesmaids. The rental apartment was booked and all we had to prepare Renminbi for were food and means to get around. I thought to document all that we ate from street foods to McDonald’s with the prices converted to USD. I hope this will give you a rough idea on cost of traveling/living in Beijing.
