The op-ed in China’s Global Times was referring to reports late last week that China’s People’s Liberation Army has started constructing a road in the Chumbi valley, about 10km from the site of the recent India-China face-off. The op-ed further said that any Indian reaction to such construction is “eccentric” and that Indian society is “paranoid” as well as “sensitive and arrogant”. Interestingly, Global Times echoed the Indian government’s line that no new construction has taken place by China in Doklam+ . However, Global Times’ rationale for that denial was that “it is not the right season for construction work”. Other than that, it claimed, Beijing is fully within its rights to undertake any construction in the area. “Doklam is Chinese territory and under effective control and supervision of the Chinese government. During the Doklam face-off+ , Beijing intensified efforts to develop infrastructure in the region and road construction there will be a long-term trend,” said the Global Times op-ed. It added that while India’s concerns are “understandable” it “shouldn’t mess around”. New Delhi, it said, should deepen strategic security communication with China and “exercise restraint” After several such near-warnings the op-ed then says India is not a major focus for China and therefore Beijing “is not willing to see that ties with India consume too much energy”. India, it said, should keep its security concern at reasonable levels. “China’s infrastructure construction in the Doklam region is logical, but India’s strong reaction is eccentric. Indian society is sensitive and arrogant, and Indian media is amplifying nationalism. India must overcome its paranoia and China has no obligation to indulge India’s capriciousness,” said the Global Times op-ed. ————————————————– Source ► ————————————————— army merchandise, army insignia,us army search, army reserve emblem,us army top, army games,us army emblem,us army watch, armed forces emblems,us army jersey,us army uniform, www usa army, army uniform, www army information com,us army army strong, indian army, air force patches,us navy emblem, navy apparel, air force clothing, navy wife, navy insignia, navy usn,us navy crest, joining the military ,military recruiter army insignia, army games, us army top,us army watch ,us army search, india, usa, china, japan, nepal, bhutan, sri lanka, afghanistan, iraq, iran, saudi arab, yaman, qatar, uae, russia, india relation with world nation, united nations,saarc,g20,g5,brics,2017,today trending, pakistan, westindies, bangladesh, cricket, england, south afreeca, newziland, saarc, asean, canada, world, south asia, malesia.korea ————————————————– DISCLAIMER: Information, Facts or Opinion expressed in this Video are Presented as Sources and do not reflects views of INDUSTUBE and hence INDUSTUBE is not liable or responsible for the same.
