Trade minister Joo Hyung-hwan says Seoul will react if Beijing violates policies of the World Trade Organization or bilateral agreements. China has reportedly ordered travel agencies to stop selling South Korea tour packages. And Seoul says it would examine exports to its biggest trade partner on a daily basis and will respond quickly if it sees any changes. This comes after Seoul secured land for the THAAD missile system which aims to deter what is viewed as possible threats from North Korea. China is opposed to the deployment, auguring that the battery’s powerful radar can target its territory.
