The United States’ top general is expected to arrive in Beijing Monday night to discuss the ongoing DPRK issue, after concluding a visit to South Korea. Earlier, Dunford met South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Defense Minister Song Young-moo in Seoul to discuss responses to the DPRK’s nuclear threat. Dunford’s trip comes amid escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula. The Trump administration is currently seeking to line up broad-based support for the option of military action.
