Winter Olympics: Blueprint for Beijing venues focuses on sustainable development

The 2022 Winter Games will be hosted at three venue clusters in China: downtown Beijing, the capital’s northwestern Yanqing county and in Zhangjiakou. Five of the planned venues are in Yanqing, and eight are in Zhangjiakou. Eleven of the 12 located in Beijing were used during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Officials say the planning and construction of venues for the Winter Games will demonstrate sustainable development.
